Please come out to join everyone in celebrating the birth of Jesus, to enjoy great food & a meaningful social opportunity.

We have the shelter reserved from 11 AM to 11 PM so plan to stay the full day. Please feel free to bring your outdoor games, and don't be shy about bringing musical instruments and your favorite selections from The Urantia Book to share with the group.
 

There are hiking trails leading to the beach within a short walk from the Duneside Shelter, and this is a perfect opportunity to bring the young folks and friends out for some fun in the sun.

For those traveling from Chicago, there is a South Shore train that runs between Millennium Park in Chicago to Dunes Station in Chesterton. If you plan to use the train, let us know in advance so someone can pick you up at the station. Please be advised to confirm with the South Shore that no scheduled repairs will interfere with your connections at the following website:

RECAP FALL STUDY 2009
The Personal, Private, and Living Revelation of Jesus

September 25-27, 2009  ∙ Chesterton, Indiana

Greetings to all members and friends of
Greater Lake Michigan Urantia Association,

Our 3rd annual fall study session is over but the feeling lives on.  The CLP meeting on Friday went well and the attendance
was better than we thought it would be due to last minute arrivals.  They accomplished several things; one was the creation of an ad hoc committee to improve communication among members and the creation of a standing UAUS
Study Group Committee.  Even in this day of email,
instant messaging, and free long distance, you just cannot replace live and in person meetings to make things happen.
  The CLP was very appreciative of the facilities and the services we set up for them.  By the way, they are now
looking for a study group committee chairperson and
committee members as well as an education committee chairperson.  If you are interested in serving, please
let me know.   

The Friday evening social was a boisterous affair as long
time friends met new friends and carried on like a group of siblings who hadn’t seen each other in a while.  I guess that’s exactly what it was!  We had brothers and sisters from
New York and California and Washington State to Texas
to Florida.  There were 40 people attending which was
more than twice from last year.  

Saturday was our first study day with five study sessions.  
We invited the guests to participate and boy did they!!!  
The sharing of our personal relationships with Jesus was
very moving and informative.  The socializing and personal sharing caused our schedule to stretch a bit but we let the program flow and let everyone participate.  Thanks to all
our facilitators and guests for making our event a success.  
A very special thanks to all the Thought Adjusters and our spiritual brethren for joining us and creating a warm and
loving atmosphere of spiritual brotherhood.  

There certainly was a spiritual presence in and around us.  
I could spend days and pages trying to tell you about the
feeling and atmosphere but really – you just had to be there
